The Frankford Huskies continue to steamroll the competition in

The Huskies put themselves in command of the series with five consecutive goals in a Game 2 triumph.

Neither team broke in the first, before Lakefield got quick strikes through Ethan Yantha and Charlie Blewett within the first five minutes of the second period.

That’s when Frankford turned up the charge, scoring three in the period courtesy of Juchau, Riley Grimmon and Ryan Foley, with the last two goals coming 28 seconds apart halfway through the frame.

A second Foley marker and his fifth of the playoffs ensured Frankford’s win and Keagan Carr added an empty-netter to solidify the 2-0 series advantage.

Ty McCambridge and Spencer Stanutz each added two assists in the victory.

Liam Boyer made 36 saves in front of more than 600 spectators at Frankford Arena.

This is now 19 straight wins over the last two months for Frankford.

The two teams return to the ice Tuesday night at 7:25 p.m. in Lakefield for a pivotal Game 3.
