Parking enforcement officer reportedly assaulted in Picton

A Bloomfield resident is facing a criminal charge after an assault involving a parking enforcement officer in Picton last Thursday.

On that day, Prince Edward OPP officers responded to a report of an altercation in downtown Picton, which occurred following the issuance of a parking infraction notice to a vehicle.

As a result of the investigation, Caley Mouland, 47, of Bloomfield, has been charged with assault.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Picton on October 7, 2026.
