Coming in second was St Joseph Catholic School in Belleville in a tie for 392 at 7.9, with Stirling Public School not far behind at 7.8.
The Fraser Institute also noted Tyendinaga Public School is one of the fastest-improving schools (rising from 1.6 in 2018 to 5.4) even though 43.5 per cent of its students have special needs.
The overall rating out of 10 on the school’s performance on nine indicators, all of which are derived from province-wide tests of reading, writing, and mathematics skills that are developed and managed by the province’s Education Quality and Accountability Office.
