UPDATE – Vehicle fire slows down eastbound 401 between Odessa and Kingston

They have now cleared the scene of a big vehicle fire that was causing major slowdowns on the 401 between Odessa and Kingston on Wednesday morning.

A fire began on a big rig on the eastbound 401 east of County Road 6 in Odessa shortly before 6 am.

They shut down the eastbound 401 between Odessa and Gardiners Road in Kingston for just under an hour, reopening one lane around 6:50 am.

They reopened the last lane shortly before 8 am.

There were no injuries.
