Belleville, Brighton November building numbers

The City of Belleville was lower in construction value for building permits last month compared to 2024.

The city’s building department issued numbers from November, showing 38 permits issued at a value of $6.2 million.

That’s lower than the 45 permits worth $64.4 million recorded last year around this time.

Year-to-date however, construction value is up through the first 11 months of 2025 at $220.3 million compared to last year, at $195.6 million.

Meanwhile, Brighton was slightly down in permits from 11 to 8 this year, but had a higher value of $27.2 million compared to $7.7 million in November 2024.

The largest project permit issued last month was $24.5 million, for the Wastewater Treatment Facility on County Road 64.
