Belleville Police have charged a local driver with impaired following a crash in the city on Monday afternoon
On November 2, 2026, at 5:22 p.m., Belleville Police responded to the area of Sidney Street and Bridge Street West regarding a two-vehicle collision.
It was reported that one vehicle collided with another at the intersection. Officers attended the scene and spoke with both drivers involved.
As a result of the investigation, Julia Ayotte, a 31-year-old Belleville woman, was arrested and charged with:
· Operation while impaired – alcohol
· Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration over 80 mg.
She was released on an undertaking with a court date in December.
No injuries were reported as a result of the collision.
