A local woman has been charged in a case of Intimate Partner Violence.
Sunday after 5 p.m. Belleville Police responded to a residence in the city’s east end regarding a domestic disturbance where a verbal altercation had reportedly occurred between a male and a female.
It was reported that during the incident, the female punched the male before leaving the area.
As a result of the investigation, a 30-year-old Belleville woman was located, arrested and charged with spousal assault.
She was held for a bail hearing.
