Impaired charges laid after reports of vehicle in intersection in Quinte West

The Quinte West OPP has laid impaired driving charges following an incident in the city.

Reports came in around 10 a.m. on Friday about a vehicle parked in an intersection.

OPP officers arrived to arrest the driver and take them back to the detachment for further testing.

41-year-old Matthew Saunders was charged with driving while impaired by drugs

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Belleville Court on Dec. 18.
