Construction of new path through Mill Pond Park to begin Sep 3

The municipality of Prince Edward County will begin construction of the new path through Mill Pond Park on Wednesday, September 3.

The pathway will create new pedestrian access from Mill St to Mill Pond Park (17 Brick St, Bloomfield).

The path is an outcome of the community consultation completed as part of the Mill Pond Park Main Street Connection project, funded through the municipal Parkland Reserve Project for Bloomfield/Hallowell.

Construction is scheduled to take place between Wednesday, September 3 and Tuesday, September 20, with work being completed by Terra Vista Landscaping.

The tennis courts will remain open during the work, but use of the playground and park area will be limited during this time.

Heavy equipment may limit visibility in the area and noise levels will be elevated for the duration of the work.
