Belleville Police had a busy Tuesday in dealing with separate assault and flight from a peace officer incidents.
Around 6:45 a.m. a call was made in the city’s west end to police regarding a disturbance in progress.
An investigation revealed two females were involved in the incident, with one reportedly striking the other after being denied entry into a building.
As a result of the investigation, a 34-year-old Belleville woman was arrested and charged with assault.
She was released on an undertaking with a scheduled court date in September.

Later on Tuesday, around 9:45 p.m. officers responded to the city’s west end regarding a traffic complaint.
While in the area, a vehicle was seen driving erratically and officers attempted a traffic stop, but the driver fled from police.
Officers discontinued the pursuit due to public safety.
The information was shared with Quinte West OPP, who later advised they had located and arrested the suspect driver.
As a result of the investigation, a 39-year-old Frankford man is charged by the Belleville Police Service with flight from a peace officer and four counts of operating a vehicle while prohibited.
He was held for a bail hearing.
