Mixed results were reported by the City of Belleville in the building permit department in August.
Last month, city building officials noted 42 permits were issued at a construction value of $23.5 million.
The number of permits was lower than the 58 from August 2025, but worth more than the $14.4 million racked up last year.
The bulk of the value was accounted for by industrial build permits.
One new permit was valued at $11.8 million, while three other industrial permits came to a total of $8.4 million.
So far this year, 360 permits have been issued at a value of $98.1 million
