The City of Quinte West is now accepting applications for the fall intake of its revised 2025 Community Improvement Plan program, which offers funding to help local businesses enhance and revitalize their properties.
The CIP program provides up to 50 per cent in matching funding for eligible projects such as building and property renovations, signage upgrades, façade improvements, and upper-storey conversions. New this year, local tourism operators are also eligible to apply for funding to support enhancements to their tourism offerings.
Council approved $200,000 in CIP funding to support Quinte West businesses through the spring and fall intake periods. Eligible businesses can apply during the fall intake, which runs from today (Aug. 18) to Sept. 29, 2025.
“The City is committed to supporting local business development and economic growth,” says Linda Lisle, Manager of Economic Development and Tourism Services. “This funding empowers business owners to invest in their properties, boost curb appeal, and contribute to a vibrant and thriving community.”
The first intake processed nine applications and approved seven projects to support business property improvements in the City of Quinte West.
Interested business owners are encouraged to visit quintewest.ca/CIP to learn more about the program and apply before the Sept. 29 deadline.
