Two people from Belleville and one from Kingston face charges after police raided a residence and seized drugs hidden inside a stuffed animal.

Following an investigation into the trafficking of fentanyl and other illicit drugs in Kingston, police executed a search warrant at a residence on Weller Avenue on Aug. 13.

Police seized a quantity of crystal methamphetamine and fentanyl along with packaging materials and a digital scale.

A 49-year-old from Kingston, a 38-year-old from Belleville, and a 40-year-old from Belleville were arrested and charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Kingston police say the seizure underscores the continued distribution of fentanyl and other harmful substances into they community and highlights the risk posed by individuals targeting Kingston to profit from the addiction and suffering of others.
