United Way Hastings & Prince Edward is bringing back a fundraising drive that brings members of the local automotive industry together for a great cause.

The organization announced the return of Cars for Community for its seventh year on Wednesday

22 participating dealerships will donate a portion of proceeds from every car sold to United Way HPE in support of local programs and services throughout September, October, and November.

Since its inception, Cars for Community has raised over $180,000 to help fund vital programs across Hastings and Prince Edward counties. This year, the initiative has grown to include 22 registered dealerships, demonstrating the industry’s shared commitment to giving back and driving positive change.

“Cars for Community is a remarkable example of what happens when local businesses join forces to make a difference,” stated Brandi Hodge, Executive Director of United Way HPE.

“The automotive industry has a long history of leadership in our region, and their support through this initiative means we can continue funding programs that address critical needs like housing, food security, mental health, and supports for children, youth, and families.”
