The City of Belleville is seeking public input on their Short-Term Accomodation (STA) By-law.
An STA is a dwelling or dwelling unit that is rented for less than 30 days, not including a motel, hotel, hospital, tourist inn or accomodations where there is no payment exchanged.
Currently, STA’s must:
Have no more than three rooms individually rented.
Have a maximum of four guests allowed (unless it is an entire single detached dwelling rented under a single booking).
Be at least 100 metres from another STA (except downtown).
Have an STA license.
The City is currently reviewing the By-law and is requesting public input.
The survey can be located at this link. Must be completed by Oct 1.
