Just before 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, officers responded to a two-vehicle collision in the area of Oak Ridges Drive and County Road 28 in the Township of Hamilton.

After an investigation, police placed one of the drivers, 31-year-old Cavan Monaghan resident Jessica Howden, under arrest and charged her with impaired driving, careless driving and driving a motor vehicle with an open container of liquor.

The accused will appear in Cobourg Court.

A further 90-day Administrative Driver Licence Suspension and a seven-day vehicle impound was also initiated.
