A new hotel is coming to Belleville.
City dignitaries, including mayor Neil Ellis, joined the ownership team on Thursday to break ground on the new 99-room Tru by Hilton hotel on Jenland Way South, across from the Shorelines Casino.
Located at 46 Jenland Way South, the new hotel will feature modern guest rooms, an indoor pool and a fitness centre.
City officials say construction is now underway on this new addition.
It will join the still-growing west end of the city, which has the casino, a couple other hotels, a McDonald’s and a future Costco.
