Building activity remains in catch-up mode for Quinte West this year.
City building department officials listed 62 construction permits issued at a value of $8.8 million in its monthly update for September.
That’s larger than the 45 permits issued at a value of $6.3 million in September 2025.
The largest permit issued was to the County Farm Centre for a new industrial build at 222 Hamilton Rd.
Despite the busier activity in September, the year-to-date numbers still remain behind compared to both last year and 2024, at 407 permits at a value of more than $98 million.
