Approval of a $3.6 million tender for redevelopment of the old fairgrounds site in Belleville hangs in the balance on Monday.
City Council will be asked to make a decision on a recommendation to accept the low tender from Quinte West firm Devries Site Services to build two access roads and install water/sewer ]= infrastructure on the Bridge Street West land.
This would allow for future high-density residential development, a potential future fire station and possible parkland areas.
The work would begin as soon as this fall.
Council meets at 4 p.m. Monday.
