McDougall Insurance continues to expand its footprint in western Canada.
The team has released the following statement about a new acquisition.
Drayden Insurance Ltd., a division of McDougall Insurance Brokers Limited, today announced its intention to, effective August 1st , enter into an operational combination with R&R Insurance Ltd. in Fairview, Alberta. R&R is a family brokerage with over a century of history in Northwestern Alberta, and its balance of personal, commercial, and farm insurance makes it a perfect match for the Drayden and McDougall group.
“R&R’s DNA is the exact same as ours,” said Catherine Cake, President of Drayden. “They care abouttheir community, their staff and their clients. That is why they have been an institution in Fairview for the last century – and why we are excited about bringing the advantages of our scale to R&R’s clients.”
“We are excited to announce this deal with R&R, a thriving brokerage that had every option available to them,” said Lorne McDougall, VP of McDougall Insurance. “The fact that they chose us – family business to family business, is very humbling. We have been delighted with how well our model has resonated with Albertans so far, and are actively looking to continue to grow in that province and beyond.” McDougall is happy to share that the leaders of R&R, Alison Renneberg and Brent Dechant, will remain with the firm post-deal.
“I always knew if R&R was to do something, it would be to improve things for our staff and clients,” said Renneberg. “I’m happy that we were able to do that with this deal.”
“At the end of the day, our job is to look after our clients,” said Dechant. “Family to family, person to person, and that is what motivated us to do this with McDougall. They speak our language, they care about what we care about, and they understand how a small town broker thrives.”
Drayden and McDougall are committed to supporting R&R in maintaining the high standards of professionalism and customer service that R&R’s clients have come to expect.
