Belleville firefighters were called to a fully involved vehicle fire this afternoon at the parking lot of Convergence in the west-end.
Belleville Deputy Fire Chief Mark Shannon has confirmed that the 2014 model car was parked in a row, between two other vehicles. The fire was coming from the engine area of the car and was brought under control in minutes.
Shannon adds that they believe that a mechanical issue caused the fire. The car has been deemed a total loss. Both vehicles on either side, were still drive able, but suffered heat damage.
