Crash closes busy road in Napanee near 401

A crash during the morning drive on Thursday has closed a busy road in Napanee.

The Town of Greater Napanee issued the following notice around 9 am that Palace Road was closed.

NOTICE -Palace Road is closed between Cardiff Lane and the 401 off ramp effective immediately on June 11, 2026.

This closure is necessary due to hydro lines that are across the road.

Reports on social media say that shortly after 8 am there was a crash in that area which damaged a hydro pole and sent the lines down across the road.

There is no word yet on injuries.
