Members of the Lennox and Addington OPP have charged one person in connection with a sexual assault investigation in Amherstview.
Sunday morning, officers responded to a report of a sexual assault that had occurred in a parking lot in the Amherstview area. The victim and accused had prior contact before the incident. The victim sustained serious injuries and attended hospital for treatment.
As a result of the investigation, Eric Barlow, 24, of Loyalist Township has been charged with:
· Aggravated sexual assault
· Sexual assault causing bodily harm by choking, suffocating or strangling
· Sexual assault causing bodily harm
The accused was released from custody following a bail hearing.
