The Prince Edward County (PEC) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a fatal collision that occurred on County Road 17 in Prince Edward County.
On Saturday, May 30, 2026, just after 8:00 p.m., officers were dispatched to a collision involving a motorcycle and pedestrian at the intersection of County Road 17 and Miller Road.
A 77-year-old male pedestrian from Prince Edward County was taken to hospital and later pronounced deceased. The motorcycle operator sustained minor injuries.
Members of the OPP Traffic Incident Management & Enforcement (TIME) team attended to assist PEC OPP with the investigation. County Road 17 remained closed for several hours between Lucks Crossroad and McKinley/Mitchells Crossroads before reopening.
