Fire destroys home and former business on Hamilton Road in QW

A huge fire destroyed a residence that was also a former commercial business location in Quinte West on Saturday morning.

A total of 25 Firefighters from Station 3 (Bayside) and Station 4 (Tuckers Corners) responded to a fully involved blaze at 16 Hamilton Road at 2.09 am (right by Wallbridge Loyalist Road in Sidney Ward).

The home was a complete loss.

There were no injuries.

The Ontario Fire Marshall’s office and the OPP have joined the investigation with inspectors from the Quinte West Fire Department.

Hastings Quinte Paramedics, Hydro One and Enbridge Gas crews all responded to the scene,

Hamilton Road was closed for several hours on Saturday morning but reopened shortly after 9 am.
