Trenton man charged in child sexual exploitation case

Police have arrested and charged an individual in Quinte West following a child sexual exploitation investigation this week.

Officers with the Quinte West OPP Crime Unit executed a search warrant at a residence in Trenton, with help from the OPP Child Sexual Exploitation Unit and the OPP Digital Forensics Unit on Wednesday.

Several electronic devices were seized in the search.

30-year-old Kyle Peirson of Trenton, was arrested and charged with possession of child sexual abuse and exploitation material.

The accused is being held in custody pending a bail hearing in Belleville Court.
