Assault charge laid following neighbour dispute in Belleville

Belleville Police have laid an assault charge following an incident on Tuesday.

On May 19th at 9:22am, Belleville Police responded to a residence in the city’s east end regarding a neighbour dispute.

It was reported that a verbal argument escalated when one female struck another female.

As a result of investigation, Jessica Dafoe, 33-year-old Belleville woman, was arrested and charged with assault.

She was released on an Undertaking with a scheduled court date in August.
