Belleville’s newest riverside apartment community opens in Cannifton

A new approach to all-inclusive, modern, riverside living has opened its doors in a picturesque part of Belleville’s Thurlow Ward.

A special ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on Thursday at Staikos Homes’ Canniff Mill Residences, Belleville’s newest riverside apartment community.

Staikos Homes has long been associated with the highest quality residential homes and this new building/complex/community at 156-A Wims Way (the first of two such projects on the property just east of Farnham Road), provides a unique combination of high-end finishes, community-building common areas, rooftop patios, thoughtful utility options like ample on-site storage and a “move-in” room for transitions and deliveries, and a vision to blend the project in with the larger, surrounding neighbourhood.

Canniff Mill Residences offers all-inclusive modern, riverside living designed with energy efficiency and comfort in mind.

There are a total of 68 units of different sizes, with a wide range of contemporary amenities, and dedicated on-site management all in a
serene natural setting.  More than 20 are already spoken for, with a Grand Open House on Saturday, May 23rd from 1 to 4 pm for anyone else interested in joining their new community.

“We’re excited to open the doors and showcase what makes Canniff Mill Residences such a special addition to the city of Belleville,” said Lacy Shunock,
Ekort Property Management. “This project reflects our team’s dedication to creating vibrant, sustainable communities that tenants are proud to call home.”

“For over 20 years as manager of Staikos Homes, I have seen the pride Staikos Homes puts into every build. Suite Home Living is a natural evolution of that
legacy.” Said Greg Timlin, Manager of Staikos Homes. “We have redefined apartment living, offering a fully inclusive, luxury lifestyle in one of the most scenic
settings in the city of Belleville. I feel this fills a void in the residential market that has been long overdue.”

Speaking to our newsroom during the event, Timlin said Canniff Mill Residences has been an exciting project for everyone while being “very different because it felt like building 68 homes, not just another multi-residential project”.

He says the location has a broad appeal while also meeting a unique need for people who want to downsize but stay active in an environment that provides all-inclusive living with many opportunities to enjoy amenities on-site and the natural beauty of the area.
