Bronze for Bibby at high school indoor T&F championships

A Quinte Legion Lynx Track Club athlete is coming home with some hardware.
Isla Bibby captured a bronze medal at the 2026 Nike High School Indoor Track and Field Championships in the Emerging Elite division out of 47 qualifiers from all over North America.
The grade 12 Bayside Secondary School high school student vaulted a personal best jump of 3.57m. A 17cm increase above her previous best leap of 3.40m she achieved earlier this season.
Fellow teammate and Bayside Secondary School student Josh Thomas jumped 1.95m in boys high jump Championship Division to place 23rd, 8cm off of his personal best of 2.03m.
Next up for competitive members of the club is the Ontario U16-U20 Championships this weekend in Toronto.
