The Northumberland Detachment of the OPP is investigating an incident which occurred at Warkworth Institution in Trent Hills.
Around 7 p.m. this past Saturday, officers received a report regarding an altercation between two inmates where an edged weapon was involved. One person was taken to a local hospital for medical treatment.
An OPP Scenes of Crime Officer attended the location to assist the investigation which is being conducted by the Northumberland Crime Unit.
