The OPP are investigating a shooting incident which happened early Saturday night in Bancroft.
At 6:42 pm, the OPP posted on social media that they were conducting an investigation on Hastings Street North.
They then provided the following update later in the evening.
UPDATE (8:35 p.m.): A heavy police presence remains around Hastings Street North in #Bancroft following reports of a shooting in the area. The public is advised to avoid the area. Investigators believe this is an isolated incident with no broader threat to public safety. More updates will be provided when available.
There is no word yet on the suspect or if there are injuries involved.
