Belleville Police have arrested a man after several phones were stolen over the weekend.
On June 6th (Saturday) at 7:09 p.m., Belleville Police responded to North Front Street regarding a theft. It was reported that a male was observed stealing multiple cell phones and other merchandise from two separate businesses before fleeing the area on foot.
It was further reported that while fleeing, the suspect threw some stolen phones back onto the business property, causing damage to the merchandise. As a result of investigation, officers located, arrested and charged a suspect.
Patrick Joron, a26-year-old Belleville man of no fixed address, faces charges of:
· Theft under $5,000 X2
· Mischief – destroys or damages property
· Fail to comply with probation order
He was released on an Undertaking with a scheduled court date in August.
