The Municipality of Brighton has awarded a total of $154,809 in funding to local non-profits and community-based organizations through the 2026 Community Grant Program, supporting initiatives that enhance quality of life and strengthen the local economy.
The Community Grant Program provides financial assistance to non-profit, community-based organizations that provide direct programs, services or activities that enhance the quality of place and economy for Brighton’s residents. Funding for these grants was approved as part of the 2026 Mayoral Budget.
The program includes three funding streams:
Community Project Grants: Seed money or in-kind support for a specific project for which the amount requested is up to $1,000.00.

- Brighton Garden Club
- The Brighton Computer Club
- Quinte SailAbility/Development Training
- Waterfront Regeneration Trust Corporation
Community Investment Grants: Funding or in-kind support for a project, special events, specific programs, or operating budgets for which the amount requested is up to $5,000.00.

- Codrington Community Association
- Brighton Stockings and Santa Sacs
- The Alzheimer Society of Hastings-Prince Edward
- Brighton Children’s Centre
- Home Rainbow Youth Centre
- ALUS Kawarthas Peterborough-Northumberland
- Codrington Cemetery
- Hilton Cemetery
- McPhail Cemetery
- Mt Olivet Cemetery
- Carman Cemetery
Non-Profit Major Grants: Funding or in-kind support for specific programs or capital budgets that support Municipal Core Services and mandates for which the amount requested is up to $20,000.00.

- Sunny Days Group Program
- Brighton Auxiliary Rescue Unit
- Save our Heritage Organization
- Gift from the Heart
- University Hospitals Kingston Foundation
- Greenwood Cemetery
