A Thomasburg man has been charged with assault following an incident in Belleville.
On May 20th (Wednesday) at approximately 5:00pm, Belleville Police attended a residence in the city’s east end regarding a dispute. It was reported that a verbal altercation between multiple individuals escalated when one male pushed a second male onto a couch. A third individual was also present. Through investigation, officers learned the same male who pushed the victim also reportedly threatened the third individual and, earlier in the month, had thrown an object at that same person. As a result of police investigation, a 46-year-old Thomasburg man, was arrested and charged with:
· Assault
· Assault – spousal
· Uttering threats – spousal
He was released on an Undertaking with a scheduled court date in July.
