The next generation has given a big assist to a local organization specializing in affordable home ownership.
Students from the Specialist High Skills Major Non-Profit program at St. Theresa Catholic Secondary School in Belleville were proud to present a cheque for $3,135 to Habitat for Humanity HPE last week.
The funds were raised through ticket sales and sponsorships connected to the Boys’ OFSAA Gold Medal Hockey Game hosted at St. Theresa this past March.
“This incredible achievement reflects the hard work, leadership, and community spirit of our students, who organized and supported the fundraiser as part of their commitment to service and social responsibility,” a message from the Algonquin Lakeshore Catholic District School Board stated.
St. Theresa and Habitat thank everyone who attended, sponsored seats, donated, and supported this initiative.
