Cyclist dies following crash on Saturday night in Foxboro

One person is deceased following a collision on Highway 62 at the north end of Belleville.

On Saturday, May 23, 2026, just before 11:30 p.m., members of the Central Hastings Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to collision involving a pickup truck and a cyclist on Highway 62, north of Frankford Road in Foxboro.

The cyclist was transported to hospital, where they were pronounced deceased.

Members of the Central Hastings OPP are continuing to investigate the collision with assistance from the OPP East Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) team. Highway 62, between Foxboro Stirling Road and Frankford Road was closed for several hours to allow for the investigation.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or has dashcam footage from the area at the time of the collision is asked to contact the Central Hastings OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
