Two people from Kingston have been arrested on drug charges following an investigation which began in Belleville.
On March 2nd, 2026 (Monday), officers with the Belleville Police Service Drug & Intelligence Unit, Emergency Response Unit and K9 Unit conducted a traffic stop in Belleville’s east end,
followed by a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant in Kingston’s west end.

Police seized a quantity of fentanyl, crystal methamphetamine and Canadian currency.
As a result of police investigation, the following persons were arrested and charged:
Bobby Grant, 31–year–old Kingston man, was charged with the following offences and
held for a bail hearing:
• Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl – Sec 5(2) CDSA
• Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking –Methamphetamine– Sec 5(2) CDSA
• Possession of Proceeds under $5000 – Sec 354(1)(a) CC
Patrick Grant 63–year–old Kingston man, was charged with the following offences and
held for a bail hearing:
• Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl – Sec 5(2) CDSA
• Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking –Methamphetamine– Sec 5(2) CDSA
• Possession of Proceeds under $5000 – Sec 354(1)(a) CC
Additionally, Patrick Grant was wanted on two outstanding warrants from Peel Region and Kingston.
