COBS Bread holding Doughnation Day for Belleville General Hospital Foundation

This Saturday, March 7, the team at COBS Bread on North Front in Belleville is turning fresh baked goods into meaningful community impact.

In celebration of Doughnation Day, COBS will donate $2 from every pack of hot cross buns sold to the Belleville General Hospital Foundation in support of patient care and medical
equipment at Quinte Health Belleville General Hospital.

Doughnation Day is COBS Bread’s annual nationwide initiative dedicated to supporting local charities chosen by each bakery. By purchasing a seasonal favourite, customers can directly contribute to improved healthcare close to home.

“We’re proud to support our local hospital through Doughnation Day,” said Andrew Blackett, owner of COBS Bread Belleville. “Our customers are incredibly communityminded, and this is a simple, delicious way for them to help make a difference for patients and families who rely on our local hospital.”

BGH Foundation representatives say partnerships like this demonstrate the power of community support.

“We are so grateful to Andrew and the entire COBS Bread Belleville team for choosing to support our hospital,” said Amanda Grydziuszko, Associate Director, Annual Programs and Donor Engagement at BGHF. “

Funds raised through initiatives like Doughnation Day help ensure our care teams have the tools and technology they need to provide exceptional care for our community. It’s inspiring to see local businesses step up in such a meaningful way.”
