OPP, fire in PEC battle it out on ice for a great cause

A ‘Battle of the Badges’ on ice produced outstanding results for a great cause on Saturday in Picton.

PEC OPP faced off versus the PEC Fire Department in a spirited charity hockey game to raise funds and food donation support for the Picton United Church Food Bank.

Thanks to the incredible support from firefighters, officers, families, and community members, the event raised 310 lbs. of non-perishable food and $105 in cash donations

These contributions will help local families during the holiday season and beyond.

Both organizations encourage residents to support the Food Bank this holiday season and all-year round by dropping off non-perishable food items at the church at 12 Chapel St.
