Downtown Trenton welcomes new psychotherapy space

By Brock Ormond Dec 5, 2025 | 3:00 PM

A new therapy practice designed to offer a warm, intentional, and welcoming space for clients in the heart of downtown Trenton is celebrating the grand opening

Nicole McKinnon is proud to announce the opening of McKinnon Psychotherapy & Counselling to try and fill a growing need for in-person therapy.

“I opened this practice because I wanted to build something that felt true to my approach, a space that was both beautiful and meaningful, where therapy could happen in a setting that felt like home,” says McKinnon.

The newly renovated space features soft lighting, built-in sound privacy, and a carefully curated environment where clients can feel grounded and at ease from the moment they arrive. McKinnon emphasizes that the clinic is also built to support therapists, ensuring a space where both clients and practitioners feel valued and cared for.

McKinnon Psychotherapy & Counselling offers individual, couples, children, teen, and family therapy services, with direct billing available for insurance and support for VAC and CAF members. The clinic’s approach is rooted in connection, care, and accessibility, with flexible scheduling including early mornings, evenings, and weekends to meet the needs of the community.

The clinic is located at 42 Front Street in Trenton. Hours of operation vary by therapist, with options throughout the week to ensure therapy is accessible for all. The office can be reached at 613-777-0228 or via email at info@mckinnonpsychotherapy.com. Visit the website at www.mckinnonpsychotherapy.com for more information.
