The Veterans Skyway Bridge in Quinte West will be illuminated yellow in honour of September being Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

The proclomation came at Quinte West Council following words from Evelyn Wilson, CEO and Founder of Tears Mean Love. Wilson is a strong advocate for childhood cancer awareness in the Bay of Quinte region after losing both her twin brother and teenage daughter to childhood cancer, pushing for more resources and funding for children and families battling the disease, and advocating for better childhood cancer treatments in the area, eliminating the travel and accomodations cost many face having to travel outside of the region.

The Veterans Skyway Bridge will be illuminated yellow for the month of September, pending no schedule conflicts.
