Traffic disruptions in the County next week

There will be a number of traffic disruptions in Prince Edward County next week.

Sep 22: Bloomfield Main St

Contractors retained by the County will be drilling asphalt cores and boreholes on Bloomfield Main St between Corey St and County Rd 33 on Monday. Work will take place between the hours of 7am and 7pm. There will be no road closures during this time, but lane restrictions and traffic control will be in place. Motorists may experience minor delays. This work will support the design of the Bloomfield Main St resurfacing project taking place in 2026.

Sep 23 & 24: Taft Rd (Carrying Place) CLOSED

County Arborists will be removing dead ash trees on Taft Rd in Carrying Place on Tuesday and Wednesday. Taft Rd will be closed between 8am and 4pm both days, with local traffic permitted. Motorists are asked to approach the site with caution or avoid the construction area.

Sep 22-25: Picton Main St

Eastern Restoration & Masonry Contractors will be completing work on the building exterior of 192 Picton Main St from Monday to Thursday. Work will take place between the hours of 7am and 7pm. Traffic and pedestrian disruptions are expected during this time. Two parking spaces around the building will be unavailable to the public during working hours. Traffic control will be present.
