Humane Society HPE holding “Junk in the Trunk” parking lot sale for shelter animals on Sunday

An organization that cares for abandoned and neglected animals is holding a big event this weekend in Belleville.

The Humane Socieity Hastings Prince Edward is hosting The Junk in the Trunk Parking Lot Salethis Sunday September 21.

It’s a unique yard sale experience to support shelter animals in need.

What: Over 40 vendors selling a wide variety of treasures and finds. Enjoy a fundraising BBQ on site while you shop!

When: Sunday, September 21, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Where: 34 Wallbridge-Loyalist Road, Belleville, ON

Everyone is invited to come and shop the parking lot and the Community Room. Vendors offer an eclectic mix of items — truly something for everyone. All proceeds support animals in the care of HSHPE.

HSHPE cares for stray, surrendered, neglected, and abused animals in Hastings and Prince Edward Counties. The Society returns lost animals to families, coordinates adoption of animals to forever homes, provides medical care and other necessities for animals in distress, provides spay/neuter services to control pet over-population and educates the public about animal welfare.
