The County of Prince Edward is partnering with community leaders to host a first ever fall version of the Owen Jones Memorial Fall Trash Bash on Saturday, September 27. This event will be held in support of the Quinte Trash Bash, which is a series of clean-ups taking place in neighbouring municipalities across the Quinte region. The event will also coincide with an annual Trash Bash hosted by the Sophiasburgh community at the Northport/Centennial Park.

Residents who are interested in participating alone or in a group in Prince Edward County can register via this form. You can also register by contacting Evan Nash at evannash@gmail.com or calling Wellington Home Hardware at 613.399.3203.

Supplies, including gloves and bags, are now available at 115 Lake Street in Picton, Shire Hall (332 Picton Main Street), and both the Wellington and Picton Home Hardware locations. Supplies can also be picked up at the County booth at the Milford Fair on September 13 and Ameliasburgh Fair on September 20.

Waste collected on the day of the clean-up can be dropped off at the following locations free of charge:

Picton Home Hardware (13544 Loyalist Parkway)
Midtown Brewery parking lot (266 Wellington Main Street)
15 Coleman Street (Ameliasburgh), next to the works garage
2179 County Road 17 in front of the Milford Fairgrounds
The County will also be providing a bin at the Northport/Centennial Park to support the Sophiasburgh trash bash.
