United Way looking for big impact to help finish fundraising campaign strong

By Brock Ormond Jan 30, 2026 | 9:01 AM

With just weeks remaining before the United Way Hastings & Prince Edward annual fundraising campaign closes on February 15, the organization is celebrating the generosity of the community while also issuing a hopeful call to action to help close the final gap.

To date, thousands of donors, workplaces, volunteers, and community partners have helped raise significant funds toward the campaign.

While the stretch goal of $2.4 million is now out of reach, United Way HPE is working hard to meet last year’s achievement of $2.25 million.

On February 6, United Way HPE will host a Day of Impact – a high-energy, community-wide event designed to bring people together for one powerful day of local giving.

The goal is to collectively raise $50,000 in one day through fun, accessible fundraising opportunities involving individuals, workplaces, and businesses across Hastings and Prince Edward Counties.
