The Quinte Museum of Natural History (QMNH) invites the public to experience the final days of its headline exhibit, Diving Deep: A Tale of Whales Through Time, before it migrates out of
Quinte West for good.
Visitors have until Family Day, February 16, 2026, to explore this immersive evolutionary journey through whale history.
To mark the occasion, QMNH will host a Family Day farewell event, with admission by donation, celebrating the whales that have captivated thousands of visitors since the exhibit’s debut. This
family-friendly day will offer one last chance to dive deep, while also looking ahead to what’s next.
Following Family Day, the museum will be closed to the public as the whale exhibit is deinstalled and the galleries are prepared for the museum’s next chapter.
As Diving Deep prepares to depart, QMNH is also looking ahead. In March, the museum will launch its next major exhibition, Expedition Alert: Stories from the High Arctic, taking visitors to Alert, Nunavut, Canada’s northernmost community.
Don’t miss your last chance to dive deep with the whales before things get chilly!
Visit the Quinte Museum of Natural History on Family Day to experience this spectacular exhibit one last time, because…“A new world is coming”
