Belleville man arrested following violent domestic incident

Belleville Police have charged a man after a violent domestic incident on Tuesday.

On December 30th at 1:39pm, Belleville Police responded to a residence in the city’s north end following a report of a domestic dispute.

Upon arrival, it was reported that a male grabbed a woman by the hair and pushed her head against a wall.

As a result of investigation, a 44-year-old Belleville man was arrested and charged with assault.

He was released on an Undertaking with a scheduled court date in February.

No name was released.
