Tyendinaga Township will get set to crunch some numbers Wednesday morning.
Council will be presented with the Township’s Draft 2026 Operating and Capital Budget starting at 9 a.m.
The proposed budget features a 7.55-per cent residential tax increase, which means an extra $107 a year on an average home assessed at $100,000.
A staff report from the Township indicates impacts, increased costs and greater operational demand are resulting from non-discretionary inflationary pressures, infrastructure investments and upgrades, existing debt from past capital projects and expanded scope of programs offered.
The meeting will be hybrid (in-person and virtual). To attend virtually, you can register at the following link; https://tyendinagatownship.com/meeting-registrations
