Multiple drug searches overnight in Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory

More information is expected on Friday about a series of drug searches overnight in Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory.

Friday morning shortly before 7 am, the Tyendinaga Police Service posted on social media that they and the Ontario Provincial Police have safely executed a number of Controlled Drugs and Substances Act Search warrants.

The raids were located in the area of Huron Brant Drive, as well as Old Highway 2, between Highway 49 and Bells Road in Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory.

Police remain on scene on Friday morning.

There is no word yet on arrests or charges.
