Online silent auction to support Sir James Whitney, deaf students

By Brock Ormond Nov 27, 2025 | 4:34 PM

The Sir James Whitney Parent Council is excited to announce the school’s first-ever Online Silent Auction in support of Deaf students in Belleville.

The auction, running this Friday through Sunday, is open to the public and features a growing lineup of prizes donated by local shops, community supporters, and deaf-owned businesses. Items include gift cards, family experiences, handmade goods, wellness services, photography sessions, and more.

All funds raised will support student activities, community events, and educational programs at Sir James Whitney School for the Deaf, Canada’s oldest school for Deaf students for 155 years.

The Parent Council extends its gratitude to all community sponsors and deaf-owned businesses who contributed to this fundraiser.
